Jeff, you ARE funny! My son had a thing early on of pulling on our arm hairs. It seemed to soothe him. I related to a lot of this. Especially those moments of wanting to be a better parent. It’s hard, and they make us better every day. Thank you for sharing your humor and vulnerability.

Loved the opening story and moment recalling it with your son. Thank God we have our kids to pull on our leg hairs and keep us from completely crusting over with the icy seriousness of a grown-up drunk on "professionalism." There is no way to know how insufferable I'd be without my kids.
