Brilliant, Jeff. Revolutionary ideas evolve from group chats to substack/x posts to real world change. Do conservative billionaires like the Kochs understand the importance of culture patronage networks like the left has been running for decades? https://yuribezmenov.substack.com/p/macarthur-fellowship-leftist-patronage-network

“The hundreds of millions burnt on her campaign alone could have funded thousands of based MacArthur Grants.”

Who are the “based” geniuses?

...this is a rich and astute observation Jeff...has me wondering how the tendrils of technology are ingrained in modern revolutionary thinking...these tools have made it easier for groups to communicate, but also easier for them to be fractioned and distracted...what is qanon if not a massive whatsapp augmented reality game...whether the tool is called TRUTH or X or the comment section of our local "fake" news sites, so much communication these days of a political variety is reactionary not revolutionary...i can't think of one idea, right wing or left, that could be categorized as revolutionary in our modern era of data abyss...to that end i can see a revolution coming from GCT, just as much as I see no opportunity for one because of GMD (group mind distraction)...JAN6 might be the closest to a "revolution" in the US in the modern era, but it was closer to a distractive coup, than it was to a meaningful idea meant to provoke change (the goal of JAN6 was to keep a loser reality television star in power despite his losing -- our forefathers text to each other in shame)...anyhow if I go all technooptimist here I would take the entire idea one step further, and at this point I think the revolution will be created and controlled by A.I. --> we are long since sticking our heads into our iphone rabbit holes...A.I. will finish the job to ensure we obey tech's chain of command...now I am going to text my friends about baseball...love the gil scott heron here :)...

Jeff, what chats are you in? I am in groups of Jews fighting about Trump and women writing 3 paragraphs about drama with their in-laws.

PS- I worked for Koch Foundation for a hot minute. 🤫

Have you given more or less weight to Gramsci's ideas since your days with Koch Industries?

The revolution already began during the Obama administration. The FBI, CIA and State Department were compromised at the top by political appointees who implemented strategies to create a permanent Democratic power majority. With the help of Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Shummer, members of Congress fell into line because they feared they would lose their tiny fiefdoms. Legislation unread passed easily. Deficit spending dominated those four years.

The Trump years passed quickly but the progressive elite team stayed in place only to reappear when Biden was elected. The consolidation of Washington DC power is established. Biden rules by signature even if it’s illegal. Laws are ignored. Funds moved around to accomplish current Democratic Party goals for permanent power. Open borders guarantee 15 million new registered Democratic voters.

It’s too late unless Trump wins in November 2024 and Republicans control both houses of Congress
