Take a waterproof notebook and 3 pens. Write at 3 times per day - refreshed facing the day, mid-day, tired at the end of the day. Three different writers.
Good boots - 2 pairs if you can cause 250 miles on a boot tests it - rotate them if you can.
The absolute best socks in quantity.
The Pyrenees section is no joke. There are nice boutique hotels and restaurants along the way.
The other day, hanging with my brother and a friend, we were talking about thresholds… being on the threshold of something new, not knowing what it is, but knowing you’re there. The Camino is such a perfect thing to do when on the threshold. What you’re holding, how you’re holding it, and what’s needed from you is all changing. ‘Buen Camino’ indeed. I teared up when I read of Steve’s whispering his wishes he could go. I see you dedicating a day to Steve, to George, and most of all - finding the next and rest of you. I’m so thrilled for you making this choice in these tender times.
You articulate exactly why I love solo travel—being given the chance to be nobody for a while

One word, Jeff: Yes!
Thanks Ken!
I watched Buen Camino on Netflix over the weekend and thought of you doing that trip.
¡Buena Suerte! y ¡Bien Viaje!
Thanks John. Have you seen the movie, The Way? You may enjoy that too.
Wow! What a re-boot. Pun intended.
