Great write-up, way to attack the canvas! Was great having you on board all cohort, love the "kindergarten drawing" metaphor for the first video...a very relatable feeling
I like how this frames cringe as a kind of reset. Stepping outside metrics and audience expectations seems like an antidote to the constant pressure to self optimize.
Have you ever gotten comfortable with putting yourself out there on social media? I used to write and I ended up quitting because I couldn't take the drive-by criticism that I'd get in the comments.
What a creative idea! My partner has taught himself a bit and has sometimes made $1,000. a month. How? I have no idea. Frankly, neither does he because he's not doing it analytically the way you have. Hats off for the challenge you posed and overcame!
Respect, Jeff! I found this really inspiring during the Act Two program as well. Good to see someone just putting things out there.
I love the idea of picking a project because it makes you laugh. Paired with embracing the cringe and facing your fears, it seems like a powerful signal that it's uniquely yours to do.
You've definitely given me more fuel to pursue my own version of this - thank you big brother!
Hey thanks Magnus, appreciate the kind words. You're so right about signal. If something makes me both squirm AND laugh, that's a good indicator to gulp and go for it. I'll follow your work more and root for you. Here if you ever need a boost.

Thanks Will. I wouldn't have had the push to do it without Act Two!

Somewhat. I also have PTSD from some of it. I find Substack to be a healthier space for me.

Thanks John. How interesting that you're partner's making money there!

…congratulations on doing this…i remember you mentioning such a yearning many moons ago…looks like it was worth the effort…
Thanks! It was kind of torture but also fun.
Jeff, with all due respect.... you don't have the boobs to be really successful on TikTok.
Lol true 🤣
